the bar

my sister in law made mention of the fact that she had started making her own energy bars.  i was intrigued.  i had wanted to be creative with something that was all natural.  see, i'm a bit inept at coming up with recipes, per se.  i can throw a few ingredients in a pan and sautee, but they are usually weird ones, at that, and they just magically taste good.  baking with different ingredients is a different story.

also, i had been buying some bars at the store that were made locally, and I realized how dang expensive they are!  $3.00/bar = me not eating a lot of bars.

so i did it:  here's the process:
here are my toasted oats, sesame seeds, and granola in a bowl
here's the fruit! i used dried cherries, blueberries, cranberries and apricots
here's them mixed in together, along with wheat germ, protein powder (brown rice so that t can eat) and some chia seeds.

in a pan, i put brown rice syrup, natural chunky peanut butter, and a dab of oil

everything all mixed together

makes this.  i put in the fridge for about 4 hours and voila...

it looks the same.  be prepared if I give you the recipe.  this is dangerous.
