the weekend and week

we had our vacation on Friday, went to the doctors appointments!  yay, nothing major wrong with us, except for what we knew....t is allergic to everything!  it was nice to have it confirmed though, i'm not joking.  to know that there were many varieties of fish that would set him off....that is valuable stuff. 

our friends came here from MN this week.  it's been a trying week due to some minor colorado weather problems.  we've had rain, along with a fast melting of the mountain snow....that equals flooding.  this on top of the fact that we went up to Beaver Creek for the weekend for t's work thing, and brought our friends and, you guessed it, it rained.  this makes for an interesting situation when you have two kids in a town where being cooped up means being either in 1. a hotel room or 2.  expensive stores that even i'm afraid to be in for fear that i may break something.  anyway, the day we left, the sun peaked out for a second, but it was too late...the mountains were done, in our heads....we headed on down. 

we toured around ft. collins a bit, took the kids to a fun park amusement type place and tried to go on a bike ride at dusk....but, you guessed it....it rained.  it was a downpour that we couldn't really recover from, so instead we ate pizza. 

our friend got his tattoo filled in that he had started in austin a few years ago and we called it a night. 

i got the call from the school today.  bad news (kind of), i didn't get it.  better news, he thought i did really well and recommended me for the high school job that i've been eyeing.  that was really nice affirmation that i didn't imagine how well things went, and that they really did go as well as I thought. 

tomorrow is another day of friends.  hiking, biking, skating.  there will be pictures this time, because as far as I know, there will be no rain!!!!!!
