this is the project my mom and i embarked on at a local pottery painting store. we had no clue what we were doing, however, the results were fantastic, i thought.

AFTER!!!!!
basically, all we did was cut glass and lay it out in patterns. the store people fired it, in our desired shapes and voila!!!

How cool! Can you use it as a serving piece for food?
i would think you could. its just glass that is fired. the reason i chose the bowl though, was that the pieces that are cut out are a bit raised. i thought it'd be good for chips or dip or something of that nature. the plates would be hard to do anything with.
