it may be cheesy (no pun intended), but i LOVE fondue restaurants. they may be dumb and overpriced, and hokey, but i do love them. especially when they have things such as lobster in them.
two weeks or so ago, when we went to t's office party, and had a blast. i got to meet this woman who is a nurse practitioner where he works. she was really nice and i really enjoyed being around her. as she was leaving she said, "you and t should come to my birthday dinner at my house wednesday.". i didn't think much of it...until we were driving to cheyenne the next wednesday to her birthday dinner. how cool was that? first off, we don't do a whole lot with other couples, so it was awesome to be doing this, but secondly, to be doing this with people that we just met and that have different experiences than us. we had a great time, had a great dinner, and just had fun.
we then got a call last night from them. 1. to check on me (how nice) and 2. to see if we wanted to go to dinner tonight. whereas, i didn't really think that dinner would be on my mind right now...i really do want to go out with them. i figured, what the heck...i'll be eating anyway, might as well be eating mass amounts of protein covered with oil, cheese and chocolate, right?
so, we are going to the melting pot for dinner, we think. what is even better and shows that this is meant to be...is what i found in my purse. i had an inkling of a memory that the last time we went to the melting pot that we had gotten a card that stated we had a certain amount of money off our next dinner there. SCORE! i dug it out and in fact, found a $20 off card. it's like christmas early!!!!

Mmmmm I love fondue restaurants too! Not necessarily the Melting Pot, but there is a great one in downtown Denver that I went to with a friend once (can't remember the name though). Delicious!
Have fun! -

I absolutely love meeting new people in the most random of places. Some of my best friends, I've met through training for marathons, sharing the same personal trainer and even through boys we were dating (the boys didn't survive us, but the friendship did!).
Glad to hear you're actually up for socializing post-op. That's a good sign. -
