tony pulled up a website on a kitchy eating renovation plan online. i'll admit, when i first heard about it, i thought he was crazy. it was all infomercially, but on a lower budget. what it turned out to be was an eating plan and not an unmanageable one. what i found out was that i was intaking less than 1/3 of the calories that i needed in a day, hence causing my body to grab onto every fat cell known to man and hold on to them for dear life.
on this plan, it doesn't have you count calories and i am STUFFED, most of the time. t can use it, even with his food allergies because it is wholly modifiable. it doesn't involve any protein powders or shakes, only real food and most importantly, deals with the glycemic index, which is how we regulate our blood sugar.
i've been doing it for two days now...i'm doing a 14 day start to the program and it's going well. i'm following it to a T, because i want to see if it really works. the only thing that is somewhat hard, is no white bread, and really not really wheat bread, but you do get to have sprouted grain bread, which really is so good anyway, i never have missed the former.
i'm drinking boatloads of water, reduced my sugar intake by crazy amounts, will not touch a diet coke again after learning what aspartame does to our liver, and am actually feeling pretty good.
and lo and behold, two pounds have come off so far!!!

I'm forsaking bread and starchy carbs at the moment. I do NOT and never will count calories, but I do know when I feel good and when I don't. Stick to it and keep the food crazies at bay, my friend.
Wow! Good job.
Hope it works for you.
BTW, meant to tell you how cute the pics in the last post are. You two are adorable.
Good luck with the healthier start and i hope it all works. :)
BTW, those legs in the picture...not mine ;)
Kate- it didn't occur to me until now! i DO have food crazies. i'm kicking their butt, this week, at least.
Kathryn- i'm hoping too. who knows where it will go, but hopefully in a better place than i was? that's what i can hope for.
wow, it sounds like a great plan - can't wait to hear the final verdict! I just started Weight Watchers myself. They have a new way of doing things that really encourages fruit and vegetables (no points) so I'm enjoying it so far!
