the life and times....

as you can imagine, this week has been endlessly boring and has yet gone very fast.  i was at home for the marjority of it, due to the ick that i have.  i have, however, caught up on all of my blog reading, even getting the chance to make comments here and there!

my mother-in-law and her husband are coming to town today, so that means a weekend of activity.  she is a lot of fun, i really do like to be around her.  they are into culture and activity, so i'm sure that we will be very busy being cultured.  Plus, she wants to go see Inception.  i can't wait to go again!!!!   Have you seen it yet?  if not, you should.

i have also been on the best diet known to man.  that is the "everything sounds disgusting and makes me want to vomit so i'd rather not eat" diet.  have you heard of it?  i have and it's getting old.

saturday is a dedication for my grandfather in the park where the pagoda is that is named after him.  i saw an article in the paper where some exchange students from japan were picking up the park to get ready for the celebration.  they put up a torii gate, as well as 25 cherry blossom trees.  i have yet to be there and saturday will be the first time.  i'm sure that there will be a day when i can talk/think about my grandpa and not have the reaction that i do now...but that day hasn't happened yet....i'm hoping it happens before saturday.

something happened in the last day or so.  a job got posted for the job that i've been trying to get for 8 years.  it rarely happens.  i'll just let you know an update on that a little later.  i am in shock and what is even funnier (not ha ha funny) is that i knew it would happen.  i just knew it.
